Recapping August’s Web3 Services updates, including: NFT support on Solana, and a new sample app for user-controlled wallets.
We’ve released important updates to support developers building on Programmable Wallets including: NFT support on Solana, and a new sample app for user-controlled wallets. Learn more below.
NFT Support on Solana
We’ve added more feature support for developers building with Programmable Wallets on Solana. Now, the wallets you create can support Solana non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and tap into the diverse and expansive ecosystem of Solana NFTs, including marketplaces, lending platforms, or gaming apps. See our API updates to learn more on how to start supporting Solana NFTs.
Updates to token balance query responses
In order to remove confusion around tokens with zero balance, we have updated the behavior of two API endpoints that manage token balances within a wallet. As a result of this update, the following endpoints will no longer include tokens that have a zero balance in their responses:
If you use these API endpoints, please review how these changes may affect your project. Note that if you have enabled the monitored token feature, tokens with a zero balance will still be included in the responses.
A new sample app for user-controlled wallets
The new sample app for Programmable Wallets helps you create your first user-controlled wallets in under 10 minutes. Follow along our walkthrough video to:
- Onboard your users and generate on-chain wallets automatically
- Enable your users to send and receive USDC through their wallets
- Set up Gas Station to sponsor network fees on behalf of your users
