Recapping June’s Web3 Services updates, including: Programmable Wallets on Solana, Circle Credits Program, and a new foundational sample app for developers.
In June, we released important updates to support developers building on Programmable Wallets including support for the Solana blockchain, and the Circle Credits Program to help subsidize fees once apps are launched on mainnet. Learn more below.
Programmable Wallets: now available on Solana
Programmable Wallets now supports the Solana blockchain! Programmable Wallets’ APIs and SDKs help developers embed secure, multi-chain wallets in apps, abstracting away technical complexities like managing private keys, node infrastructure, transaction fees, onboarding, and authentication flows.
We’re kicking off with API support for fungible token transfers and the ability to sponsor transaction fees on behalf of end users. Stay tuned for future releases where we’ll expand to include support for NFTs, and program interactions through Smart Contract Platform.

Smart Contract Platform contract read API deprecation
The read contract API endpoint (contracts/{id}/read) will be deprecated and replaced by the new contract query API endpoint (contracts/query) on September 30.
This new endpoint provides a better developer experience by:
- Querying directly by blockchain and address instead of the Circle contract ID.
- Removing the need for importing or deploying the smart contract before the query
If you are using the contract read endpoint, please migrate your application and use the new endpoint no later than September 30.
Bringing wallets to more blockchains
Wallet Signing Service is an enterprise-grade solution to bring secure MPC wallets to new blockchains using familiar APIs and SDKs. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the blockchain infrastructure you’re using for node and data management, you can abstract away the complexities of launching secure on-chain apps. Connect with us to see how you can integrate Wallet Signing Service to:
- Create secure wallets with infrastructure that fits your business’ needs
- Onboard and authenticate users with familiar log-in workflows
- Sign transactions and messages securely
- Manage private keys with MPC technology
- Accelerate development timelines with APIs that can be used across multiple chains
Programa de Créditos da Circle
Introducing our latest investment in developers - Circle Credits Program. Circle Credits Program provides developers with credits that can be used to pay for Web3 Services bills, such as:
- Programmable Wallets monthly fees
- Smart Contract Platform API calls
- Gas Station network and platform fees
Apply for Circle Credits Program. We can't wait to see what you build!
